NIHH (National Institute of Holistic Health)

From Static to Dynamic - How We Redesigned & Rebuilt the National Institute of Holistic Health Website

NIHH (National Institute of Holistic Health)

The National Institute of Holistic Health (NIH), a Government of India registered institution under MSME and NITI Aayog, had an outdated static website that couldn’t keep pace with their rapidly growing activities – international conferences, membership drives, certification courses, health camps, and global events across India and Vietnam. Their old site was rigid, not mobile-friendly, and required developer intervention for every small content update. Apexture stepped in to completely redesign and rebuild NIH’s digital presence – transforming it from a static, unmanageable website into a fully dynamic, responsive, and content-rich platform built for a national-level health institution.

The Client Issues:

Several challenges the NIHH website had experienced, impacting user experience and business performance, were:

      1. Fully Static Website With No Dynamic Content Management – The old website was built with hardcoded static HTML, meaning every news update, event addition, or member addition required a developer to manually edit code – causing delays and making the site impossible for the NIH team to self-manage.
      2. Not Mobile Responsive – With a growing audience of health practitioners, students, and members across India accessing the site on mobile, the old static layout broke on smartphones and tablets, creating a poor user experience.
      3. No Events Management System – NIH regularly organises international conferences (India, Vietnam), health rides, webinars, and Yoga Day events – but had no dynamic system to list, manage, or promote these on the website.
      4. No Member Directory or Membership System – As a membership-based institution with Lifetime and Executive members across India, they had no way to display, manage, or grow their member community digitally.
      5. No News Feed or Media Section – NIH needed to keep their community updated with health news, press releases, government health announcements, and circulars – but the static site had no such capability.
      6. Weak Institutional Credibility Online – As a MSME and NITI Aayog registered body with a Chairman, advisory board, and international presence, the old website didn’t reflect their authority, achievements, or scale – hurting trust and membership growth.
